Mrs. Nicole Steward

Mrs. Nicole Steward Sensei began her Martial Arts journey in September 2002. Having many physical disabilities, a weight problem and several medical issues including diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, scoliosis and degenerative disk disease, she found it a challenge overcoming the obstacles of a traditional Japanese style of Karate called Wado-Ryu but, made it a personal goal to do so.

Past instructors turned her down when she approached them for instruction. Kyoshi Steward of Warriors for Christ Karate however said that he could work with her disabilities and this further inspired her to develop the Warrior Hearts Workout.

August 16th, 2008 with a herniated disk and a crushed sciatic nerve down her right leg and foot, she passed her Black Belt test and now holds a Sho-Dan in Shinsei Wado-Ryu Karate. She is a member of and secretary for the Warriors for Christ Karate-Do Federation. She also holds memberships in the Christian Black Belt Association, Ambassador Martial Arts Association, and the Kicks for Christ Federation and is named by Steward Kyoshi as the Sozoku-nin (inheritor) of the soft-fist side of Shinsei Wado-Ryu Karate-Do.

Mrs. Steward is a born-again, Bible believing, full gospel Christian. She gave her heart to the Lord in 1986, when she was 16 years old. She is originally from Australia, but now lives in Michigan with her husband. She attends New Life Church in Caledonia.
